Spiš castle, Spišské Podhradie, Žehra, Levoča
One day trip into the center of Spis region. We will visit the largest castle in central Europe, the Spis castle and its surroundings, town of Spisske Podhradie and its religious part Spisska Kapitula, gothic church in village Zehra from the 14th century. We will finish our trip in an old town Levoca.
All of this cultural landmarks are enlisted on the List of World's Cultural and Natural Heritage of UNESCO.
Bardejov, Wooden churches in Lukov, Hervartov and Kežmarok
A day trip to one of the most beautiful town in Slovakia. Bardejov in the Eastern part of Slovakia was rightly awarded the European award, gold medal of ICOMOS Foundation of UNESCO in 1986 and it was inscribed into the List of the World Cultural Heritage of the same organisation in 2000.
During the day, we will also visit two wooden churches in Lukov, Hervartov and Kezmarok, which are the most valuable out of 8 wooden churches enlisted on the UNESCO world heritage list.
Dobšinska Ice cave, Betliar manor house
One day trip into the region of southern Spiš and Gemer. First we will visit the unique Dobšinská ice cave, which belongs to the deepest and longest ice caves in Europe.
In the valley of the Slaná river is the fairy tale-like two-storied manor house Betliar with four corner towers. It is astately hunting manor surrounded by a wonderful English park with romantic structures including an artificial cave and waterfall.
Ľubovňa castle and ethnographic natural exposition
On a limestone cliff of 711 m over Stará Ľubovňa in the north-east of Spiš standsĽubovňa Castle. Rulers met here in the past, it is the place where Polish coronation jewels were hidden and where famous adventurer, noble man and King of Madagascar, Móric Beňovský was imprisoned.
The Museum of Folk Architecture, which is located at the base of the Castle Ľubovňa in northern Slovakia, represents a separate exposition. It features a set of traditional buildings from the surrounding villages, which, coupled with the Castle, gives rise to unique and highly impressive scenery.
Belianska cave, Strážky manor house
During this day we will visit the Belinska cave, which is the only one accessible cave in the Tatry mountains. It is situated in the slope of the Belianske Tatry, above the commune Tatranská Kotlina. It is among the first caves in Europe in which electric light was installed.
We will also stop in the manor house in Strážky, which is a gem of the Renaissance architecture in Slovakia. The manor was built on foundations of Gothic castle allegedly constructed on ruins of Knights Templar monastery. It is one of the oldest in Slovakia.
Wood rafting and the Red monastery
Rafting using wooden rafts is one of the greatest tourist attractions of northern Slovakia. One of the unforgettable experiences is certainly rafting down the river Dunajec in the splendid natural scenery of the Pieniny National Park.
Latter on we will visit Červený kláštor (The Red monastery). It is a unique cultural and historical relic set in the wonderful natural environment of Pieniny under the majestic mountain Tri koruny. In front of the entrance to the monastery is the park declared the Protected Area ofPieninské lipy in 1972. It protects 19 old and valuable lime trees.
